The most pressing item on your To Do List is to activate your NetID and begin the steps to getting your UW email address. We want to begin sending all messages to you through your UW email to avoid glitches with Gmail and other email clients. Additionally, you will need an active NetID to utilize the enrollment application (enroll.wisc.edu) when it comes time for enrolling in courses the week of June 24th. In the coming weeks, you will receive more messages from the UW-Madison Graduate School, the Office of the Registrar (regarding your enrollment appointment time), and you may also be meeting with your MSPQC faculty advisor. While the start of the program may feel far away, we are almost into the month of June and the logistics of setting up everything to become a graduate student in the Fall will begin to take place. Please let me know once you have activated your NetID and successfully logged into MyUW to check your UW email address. We will then update our records here in Physics and begin sending all emails to your UW email address. You will want to check your UW email on a regular basis once it is activated. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions along the way.
