I?m emailing with some important information: 1. I am out of the office beginning tomorrow, Tuesday (9/12) afternoon. I am out of town until Tuesday, 9/19 but will be checking email periodically while I?m away. * We are coming up on some class drop deadlines for Fall 2023 (Sept. 15 for 100% tuition remission). So, if you are emailing with questions about adding/dropping classes, please also copy enroll at physics.wisc.edu and Leigh will be able to help as well. 1. I try to be available to students as much as I can be during your time in the program. I typically work in the office Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM ? 3:00 PM. However, the exact time in and out may fluctuate some days with my school pick-up/drop-off schedule for my daughter. If you need to meet and it?s not just a simple drop-in question that might take fewer than 10 minutes, I recommend going to the link under my signature and scheduling a 30-minute meeting with me. Also, this semester I plan to hold ?office hours? where I don?t allow other meetings to be scheduled over the top (if I can help it). You will be able to stop by my office for drop-in meetings during this time/the following time-frames: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:00 ? 11:00 AM. I will include my typical office hours schedule in the next MSPQC newsletter as a reminder. 1. I am getting MSPQC TA hours set for Fall 2023 and will update you in the next week with the days/times and locations where you can drop in to meet with your MSPQC TA?s. Please look out for this email and I will also post the TA hours in the next MSPQC newsletter. * The MSPQC TA?s are: Ricardo (dossantosxim at wisc.edu) and Anirudh (ayadav22 at wisc.edu) 1. Please be aware of an upcoming UW Physics Graduate Program Event on this Friday, September 15. This event might be of specific interest to you if you are considering pursuing a PhD program after completing the MSPQC program.
