Course enrollment from Feng

Hi Michelle I am Yi Feng, I just had a talk with my advisor Bob Joynt. We had a consultation and decided to substitute the course 'physics 799 (3 credits)' with the enrolled course 'physics 321 (4 credits)'. But when I log in MyUW, it seems I can not get enrolled in the physics 799 for the reason of system. For there are no sections to choose. I just want to drop the 321 and get enrolled in 799. MSPQC TA Consultation Days/Times: Fall 2019

Good Afternoon MSPQC Students, I hope you’ve all had a nice week getting settled in the Department of Physics! Bob asked that I send out the TA consultation times when Deepak, your TA, will be available. For the month of September the room will be 3328 Chamberlin Hall. After that it will be 4253 Chamberlin. Please utilize Deepak as your TA to help you in any course that you are taking. He is here to help ensure you are successful! MSPQC TA Consultation Days/Times: Fall 2019 Monday: 1-2pm, 4-5pm Tuesday: 2-4pm Wednesday: 10am-12pm, 1-2pm, 4-5pm Thursday: none Friday: 11am-12pm, 1-2pm Also, we have a scheduled delivery date for your new office furniture in 4254 Chamberlin. Please pencil in Monday, September 30th-Wednesday, October 2nd noting that you will need to vacate your office during that time. Hi MSPQC students! I hope you all enjoyed your first day in Chamberlin Hall as part of the MSPQC program! As a follow up to a few questions that came up today, I’m including a few details below. -Physics 531 is on the schedule and plans to be offered in Spring 2020 -Physics 545 will be in the Fall 2019 and is not currently on the schedule for Spring 2020 -The names and email contact info for your fellow classmates can be found attached to this email I will see you tomorrow at 11:00am in Room 5310 Chamberlin Hall for a meeting with the TA’s: Deepak, Zach, and David followed by lunch with other quantum computing grad students at 12:00pm. MSPQC New Student Orientation Schedule & Checklist

Good Afternoon incoming MSPQC students! If you are not here already, we look forward to many of you arriving in Madison over the next few weeks! As a reminder, the MSPQC new student orientation will begin two weeks from today on Monday, August 26th at 9:00am. We will meet in 4274 Chamberlin Hall, 1150 University Avenue. Please plan to arrive around 8:45am so that you have time to get settled before the program starts promptly at 9:00am. During orientation week we will have a series of new student welcome events, professional development activities, and a chance to meet the faculty and graduate students in the quantum computing area of Physics here at UW-Madison. Attached to this email is a chart of the schedule for the week of August 26th. A more detailed schedule will be provided when you arrive and we will talk through it in more detail the first day of orientation. Additionally, I’m also attaching a new student checklist. If you are in Madison over the next few weeks and have a bit of time, I would encourage you to begin checking some of the things off the checklist so you are ready to go when we meet in a few weeks.
