Dear Current MSPQC Students:
I am finalizing plans for the Summer 2022 graduation ceremony/event. This event will take place between August 5 - 15, 2022 (I am confirming the date and time, but per the venue, it seems the best day will be Thursday, August 11 @ 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM). You and your families/guests are invited to attend this event and I will send a Save-the-date and RSVP form to you next week.
This ceremony is for all MSPQC students who completed the program or will complete the program in Fall 2021, Spring 2022, Summer 2022, or Fall 2022 and Spring 2023.
* Students who plan to complete credits and graduate next academic year (Fall 2022 or Spring 2023) may choose to celebrate with the Fall 2021 cohort (current cohort) or the Fall 2022 cohort (those beginning the program this coming fall semester who will attend the Summer 2023 graduation ceremony).
Information I need from you now:
Please submit the following Qualtrics survey with information so I may submit cap and gown rental for all MSPQC students (this cost is covered by the MSPQC program). I know this is a quick turn-around, but please submit the survey by Monday, July 6 @ 11:59 PM.

Subject: [communicators] Virtual Support and Connection Spaces for Students
Dear Campus Partners,
Mental Health Services is offering spaces of connection and support for students experiencing distress, trauma, and safety concerns following recent incidents downtown<https://news.wisc.edu/message-of-support-and-campus-safety-update/>. We recognize these events come during a time of increased violence against Asian and APIDA communities throughout the U.S., and we acknowledge the increased feelings of fear, helplessness, and overall distress that these events may cause students. As a result of these concerns, Mental Health Services at UHS will be offering virtual connection and support spaces for students to grieve and process recent events.
Virtual spaces will be held online on Monday, June 20 at 5pm and Tuesday, June 21 at 4pm. Mental health providers from University Health Services will be available to all UW-Madison students seeking support. Students can join the virtual spaces online by registering for either Monday, June 20 at 5pm (tonight)<https://uwmadison.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJ0kc-qpqzoiG9fJ0GysmM5WRkhoL_KT…> or Tuesday, June 21 at 4pm (tomorrow).<https://uwmadison.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJIocu6vrzMrE9RD3kklom0dX7PmCklH…>
Throughout the summer, UHS continues to provide a variety of mental health services to students. Students who are not currently enrolled in the summer term, including Spring 2022 graduates, can pay the Summer Health Fee<https://www.uhs.wisc.edu/summer-health-fee/> to continue using UHS. Without the Summer Health Fee, all UW-Madison students can continue to access mental health support through virtual Let’s Talk sessions<https://www.uhs.wisc.edu/wellness/lets-talk/> offered daily and a variety of self-guided support resources<https://www.uhs.wisc.edu/uhs-mental-health-resources-beyond-counseling/>.
Recent attacks on members of our Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American communities are of great concern to University Health Services. Mental Health Services is here to provide safe spaces for students experiencing trauma and safety concerns following these events.
Sincerely,
Sarah Clifford
