Good Afternoon,
Chancellor Blank has asked that we come together in this challenging time for providing resources to students who are experiencing hardships. The Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) is positioned to be the central hub for emergency funding during the Covid-19 pandemic and has closely partnered with the Office of the Bursar who releases funds to students. As you know, our breadth encompasses every type of student and we are uniquely positioned to connect students to a multitude of resources in our community.
Students will receive responses in 24 hours and can request assistance in four ways:
* Emergency Request Form: https://financialaid.wisc.edu/emergency-assistance-form/ * Email: covid-19@finaid.wisc.edumailto:covid-19@finaid.wisc.edu * Phone: (608) 262-3060 between 10am-2pm CST Monday-Friday * Self Service Request through MYUW (financial aid applicants have this option in addition to the above 3)
This approach allows us to be nimble in being able to report real-time numbers to the Chancellor on students impacted by the pandemic. Please let me know if you have any questions.
