Welcome to the MS in Physics-Quantum Computing program at UW-Madison!
As the graduate program coordinator in the Department of Physics, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the first MS in Physics-Quantum Computing (MSPQC) Class of 2019. There are 13 students in the incoming class
and the list of each other’s information is attached here as a PDF. I wanted to provide a few details below about important dates and housing information as those seem to be the most high level things to cover at this time. Professor Bob Joynt, Director
of the MSPQC Program will be following up with information about academic preparation and advisor assignments in the near future. We will be in touch at various points before you arrive in Madison as additional information becomes available.
Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have along the way. If you have a question, it is likely that someone else in the group might have the same question too! I look forward to working with you all
this summer before the MSPQC program activities begin in August.

IMPORTANT DATES
June 24th: Enrollment for new graduate students begins. You will receive an enrollment email from the Office of the Registrar a few weeks before
your enrollment appointment time. Faculty advisors will be assigned soon and you will consult with them before enrolling in courses.
Week of August 26th: New student orientation week. Various campus and Graduate School activities will
take place as well as our MSPQC program orientation.
September 4th: First day of class at UW-Madison.
