Dear MSPQC Students,
A new tool is now available for you to easily communicate and document your MSPQC course plan with your faculty advisor to ensure you are meeting the degree requirements.  Each semester we will ask you to talk with your faculty advisor, decide on a course plan, and document it in the system.  Hopefully at this point you have already talked with your advisor over the summer or in the early parts of the fall semester to get their perspective on what courses you will be taking throughout your MSPQC degree program.  If you have not already done so, or there have been significant changes since you last talked with your faculty advisor, I would suggest reaching out to them at this time.  We want to ensure that there are no surprises along the way in terms of your coursework plan and degree progress.
Now it is time to officially file your MSPQC course plan so that everyone knows what is going on and to ensure that you are well on your way to success.  Please take a brief moment to submit your course plan.  https://app.physics.wisc.edu/gradvise/course-plan/  This plan should include the courses you are taking this fall and what you are planning to take in spring and summer as well.  You can adjust or change your course plan at any time so this will simply serve as a guide along the way.  Once you submit your plan, it will automatically be sent to your faculty advisor for review.  Your faculty advisor will submit any comments they have about the course plan to help guide you through the program.  You will receive an email once they review your submission.  We hope this is a helpful tool to ensure clear communication between students and faculty advisors.
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions along the way.
Best,
Michelle
