Greetings MSPQC Students,
The Spring 2021 schedule of classes is NOW available! https://enroll.wisc.edu/search?term=1214&subject=754 As a reminder, Spring 2021 enrollment begins next week on Monday, December 7th. Many of the physics courses (except those labs that require in person instruction) will be held online in the spring. If you plan to take courses outside of physics, you will want to specifically check which modality those courses will be offered in Spring 2021. NEW this semester on the course search and enroll website is a filter that allows you to filter by the various modes of instruction: all, in person, hybrid, online. https://kb.wisc.edu/registrar/107426 Please enroll right next week away during your enrollment appointment time. This ensures you are able to get into the courses you need for next semester.
For those of you who need to enroll in Physics 799, please email me with details of who you will be working with (and CC that faculty member to the email) and I will get you authorized to enroll in that section.
The Graduate School policy on enrollment requirements indicates that 8 credits are needed for full time status. https://grad.wisc.edu/documents/enrollment-requirements/ International Student Services (ISS) also further clarifies Spring 2021 enrollment guidelines (and winter travel guidance) for international students. https://iss.wisc.edu/spring-2021-enrollment-winter-travel-guidance/
The spring semester officially begins on Monday, January 25th, 2021. According to the dates and deadlines found on the Office of the Registrar's website, the last day to enroll without a $50 late enrollment fee will be Friday, January 29th, 2021. https://registrar.wisc.edu/dates/
As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me through Microsoft Teams (chat or video) or email me with any questions that you might have along the way. I know this can be complicated and there is a lot going on right now. I'm here to assist you!
Have a great weekend ahead!
Best,
Michelle
