Dear MSPQC students:

I will be teaching Physics 551, Solid State Physics, in the coming
spring semester.  We will cover semiconductors and superconductors,
with applications to qubits.   I'd urge you all to consider taking this
course, since it has a direct bearing on quantum computing.

The text will be Kittel's Introduction to Solid State Physics.  I'll get a complete
syllabus up soon.

Best wishes for the holidays,

Bob J
