The UW Department of Physics will be attending two graduate fairs for Summer 2023. Please check your availability and sign up for a time slot on Wednesday, July 19 to help me connect with prospective graduate students and represent the department at these events! I am looking for 1-2 students and 1-2 faculty for each time slot and will reach back out to confirm your sign-up by Friday, July 14. EVENT DETAILS UW Madison Graduate School Day Wednesday, July 19 @ 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM, Union South (Varsity Hall) This one-day recruitment event is being marketed to current McNair/TRiO undergraduate students and visiting students participating Summer Research Opportunity Program students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Graduate & Resource Fair portion of this event offers an opportunity to engage and share graduate opportunities with prospective students.
Who will be at the Resource Fair?

SROP programs introduce undergraduate students to graduate research during a 10-week residential program. UW-Madison is hosting over 170 undergraduate students from across the country in 15 different SROP programs on campus this summer. * Students from federally funded TRiO and McNair programshttps://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ope/trio/index.html, which serve underrepresented students including low-income, first-generation, and individuals with disabilities.
Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science 2023 Summer Virtual Graduate Fair Wednesday, July 19 @ 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Virtual) Hosted by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE), this exciting virtual event will give you the opportunity to connect with STEM college students and recent graduates participating in internships and fellowships at world-class DOE national labs and facilities around the country.
